Established in 2010, the National Education and Welfare Society (NEWS) has been at the forefront of empowering women through targeted skill development initiatives. Recognizing that economic independence is a key driver of gender equality, NEWS has implemented multiple projects focused on building skills, confidence, and self-reliance among women, particularly from underprivileged backgrounds.
Over the years, the organization has trained thousands of women in vocational trades such as sewing machine operation, beauty and wellness, handicrafts, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship. These programs are designed not only to enhance employability but also to encourage self-employment and home-based enterprises.
The Society’s approach combines practical training, soft skill development, career counseling, and job placement support. Its grassroots outreach ensures even the most marginalized sections of society—including women, physically challenged individuals, and school dropouts—receive opportunities to build dignified and sustainable livelihoods.
By equipping women with practical skills and the tools to succeed, NEWS continues to play a vital role in fostering inclusive growth and transforming communities through the power of empowered women.
Changing lives through sustainable development projects.
